Bipolar world order is outlined

The joint statement signed by the Presidents of Russia and China in Beijing is, in fact, about a new bipolar world order, which also sets out its principles or, more precisely, its concepts. On one side of the poles are China and Russia, on the other - the United States. The other countries must orient themselves and state their positions on which side of the poles they see themselves or choose a neutral status.

The announced new bipolar world order, unlike the past (according to the announced text), will be devoid of ideologies: there is no ideological struggle, there are no civilizational platforms at their core, but is based on "pure" interests. In particular, the statement says that democracy is a value for them and it is inadmissible to divide the world according to ideologies, therefore "color revolutions" (that is, revolutions based on ideologies) are inadmissible for them. Both believe that the basis of international security is the creation of a balance of power, therefore NATO and other similar military alliances should not make progress, thus creating a threat to the other pole.

In the statement, in fact, the events unfolding around Ukraine are compared to the Taiwan issue, which China considers its inalienable part. But Taiwan is seeking independence, sparking tensions between the United States and China.

Another very important issue is the cooperation between China and Russia in the Arctic, which could become a new way for China to export goods after the thaw. It should be reminded that the issue of safe routes of Chinese goods is key in the economic competition between the USA and China.

There are several other key points in the statement, but the main thing, we repeat, is voicing about the creation of a new geopolitical pole, if we call things by their names.

The last war in Artsakh was the result of a geopolitical conflict, the same can be said about the events in Ukraine. In the future, the rivalry between these poles may also create new sources of tension in different regions.

If the competition escalates, then many countries, including Armenia, regardless of their desire, will have to decide between the poles who is with whom and what most of those countries are not ready for.
