John ORDWAY
US Ambassador
On
behalf of the United States Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia,
I offer my hearty congratulations to the Armenian Center
for National and International Studies (ACNIS) on the occasion
of the Centers 10th anniversary.
The United States Government has had the privilege of
working with the Armenian Center for National and International
Studies since its inception, and we consider the Center
to be a valuable ally in the task of strengthening democracy,
civil society and public political-economic discourse in
Armenia.
ACNIS supports democracy in Armenia by creating a forum
for dialogue between diverse groups. Through the sponsorship
of insightful conferences, roundtables and seminars, ACNIS
invites citizens representing a broad range of opinions
into the political process. This has resulted in greater
understanding and engagement among diverse sections of Armenian
society. ACNIS fosters and enhances public access to critical
information through its publications. The Center has also
successfully engaged the Armenian Diaspora, providing timely
information and political insight to eager audiences around
the world.
The United States Embassy in Yerevan is proud to have
worked as a partner with the Armenian Center for National
and International Studies, and we praise its efforts to
create a forum for dialogue and increase public engagement
in the Armenian political process. I wish you continued
success in the years to come.
